The 2024 edition of the school delves into the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its intersections with science diplomacy. Through engaging discussions with leading global experts, the program seeks to provide participants with valuable insights into how AI can be harnessed to promote equitable global innovation, address societal challenges, and advance the objectives of science diplomacy.
This year’s school will cover a range of critical issues, including the evolution of Science and Innovation Diplomacy, the opportunities and challenges for the Global South in the new AI-driven era, the impact of AI on peace and security, Brazil’s unique position in the AI landscape, and the global semiconductor competition, known as the “chip war.”
Registration Details
The registration period will be open from October 2 to October 25, 2024.
To apply, interested candidates must complete the form available at this link (https://forms.gle/XeRGtkvbdo7dKYZK6) and follow all instructions, including the submission of the following documents:
- A letter of interest outlining your reasons for participation and explaining how InnSciD is relevant to you (PDF, 1-page maximum).
- A short bio highlighting your key achievements.
Research related to the school’s theme will be prioritized in the selection process. Efforts will be made to promote diversity whenever possible, while maintaining alignment with the school’s theme. If multiple candidates have similar qualifications, we will strive to create a balanced and diverse group of participants.
The list of selected candidates will be published on the school’s website (https://2024.innscidsp.com/) by October 31, 2024.
