Mona Oliveira

Mona Oliveira is currently the founder of the startup BIOLINKER and the principal researcher of the Small Business Innovation Research (PIPE-FAPESP) project, developing an efficient protein purification system in cell-free synthesis. She holds a dual Ph.D. degree from the Graduate Program in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry) at the University of São Paulo (USP) and the Program of Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies at the International Postgraduate School Institute Jozef Stefan (Ljubljana, Slovenia). She has a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the State University of Feira Santana, where she conducted pharmacological prospecting of synthetic alkaloid-like compounds for the treatment of malignant gliomas, which earned her recognition and awards. She has also taught as a substitute professor for Molecular Biology, Chemistry applied to Animal Science, and other subjects at the Federal University of Bahia.
